United Water Westchester, previously known as Aquarion Water Company of New York, was acquired by United Water on April 30, 2007. United Water is now the water supply company for 12,000 homes and businesses, or 44,000 people, in the City of Rye and the villages of Rye Brook and Portchester. Our sister company, United Water New Rochelle, provides top quality drinking water to over 150,000 people in 11 additional Westchester communities. By Mail If you pay online through your bank or misplace your payment envelope, please note that our payment address has changed to PO BOX 371804, Pittsburgh, PA 15250-7804; be sure to update your records accordingly. In Person 2525 Palmer Avenue Your water supply comes from two main sources. Sixty-five percent is filtered water from Putnam Reservoir located in Greenwich, Connecticut. The remaining thirty-five percent of supply is purchased from Westchester Joint Water Works. This unfiltered water is disinfected, fluoridated and further treated to protect the water supply piping system. In 2005, the average daily demand was 7.8 million gallons. The Water Quality Report that you received in 2007 was issued by Aquarion Water Company of New York and reflects results against the EPA standards for 2006.
