United Water Reminds Customers to Conserve WEST NYACK, NY, August 14, 2002 — United Water is reminding customers that drought conditions and water emergency restrictions continue to be in effect in Rockland County. According to Robert Iacullo, president of United Water New York, “We are still affected by lower than average rainfall. In addition, this extended heat wave has resulted in increased water usage. While conservation efforts to date have been helpful, it is important that Rocklanders continue to observe the restrictions.” Iacullo noted that United Water has worked cooperatively with Rockland County officials throughout this drought emergency. Rockland Health Commissioner Dr. Joan Facelle declared a Stage 3 Water Emergency on March 6 that imposed the following mandatory restrictions: The following is NOT allowed:
