Plant Tours

United Water offers free tours of our Haworth Treatment Plant located at 200 Lakeshore Drive, Haworth, NJ. United Water is proud of our water treatment facility and the educational opportunities the Tour Program provides. Students and residents can see first hand how we purify our drinking water with one of the most powerful cleansing agents on Earth-ozone. Groups that tour our plant learn how water is purified and distributed to the customers in our service territory.

Your tour will begin with a video, geared to the age of your group, that explains the water purification process. After that, a guide will escort you through the plant and show you first-hand the process that makes our water taste so good.

Tours for Haworth are conducted on Monday, Wednesday and Friday during the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:30 PM with the last tour being scheduled at 3:30 PM. Tours are given for groups of 15 or more. The tour includes a short video presentation, a walking tour of our plant and computer center, filtration beds and other water treatment procedures.
