United Water Delaware's Spring Flushing Program to Begin

WILMINGTON, DE – March 13, 2003-United Water Delaware’s spring 2003 flushing program will begin on Monday, March 17, 2003, and run for approximately six to eight weeks. Each week we will be targeting certain developments in our North, South and Bethel distribution areas. During periods of flushing some customers may experience temporary discoloration during flushing in their area. Flushing hydrants help to maintain the integrity of our distribution system by keeping the lines clean. It is also necessary for fire protection because flushing ensures the hydrants are working properly.
