Recruiting Process

United Water uses many methods to recruit and hire employees. One method is illustrated below.

Resume Submission
Resumes can be e-mailed or faxed to 201 767 7142. A resume is kept on file or in our database for 12 months. Only those candidates being considered for employment will be contacted.

Resume Search
When a United Water staffing specialist is assigned to fill a particular position, he or she searches our files and/or database for resumes that contain specific keywords related to the job description. If a resume has the minimum requirements for the open position listed, the staffing specialist may pull the resume.

Best Matches
The United Water staffing specialist reviews selected resumes and identifies those which appear to best match the position's requirements. These resumes maybe considered for specific employment opportunities.

Interviews
The most competitive candidates are scheduled for interviews with a hiring team. These interviews are most often conducted face-to-face; however, some may be conducted via phone. The hiring decision is reached by considering the input from all members of the team.

Selected Candidates
The staffing specialist contacts the candidate who best meets the requirements for the position and offers them the job. The written offer letter will include information such as start date, salary, and benefits. If the candidate declines the position, the staffing specialist may then offer the position to the next most qualified applicant. Once the position has been filled, the remaining candidates maybe contacted for other opportunities.
