UNITED WATER APPOINTS NADINE LESLIE PRESIDENT OF ITS ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES GROUP

Harrington Park, NJ,  Sep 01, 2011,   4:00 pm

United Water announced today that Nadine Leslie has been named president of United Water Environmental Services, the company’s contract services division. In this role, Leslie is responsible for overseeing the operations and management of United Water‘s nationwide contract operations. This includes 200 projects affiliated with municipal and industrial water and wastewater systems as well as two hazardous waste treatment plants in Canada.

Leslie has more than 20 years of industry experience in operations, management, compliance, client relations and due diligence. Since joining the United Water team in 2000, she has held leadership positions within the company’s regulated, contract and corporate segments. She served as part of the management team at projects located in Atlanta, GA, and Rahway, NJ, before being appointed vice president and general manager for the United Water Toms River division. Most recently, Leslie headed the company’s corporate internal audit department.

“Nadine Leslie is exactly the right leader at the right time for our contract services business,” said Bertrand Camus, CEO of United Water. “She is one of our most talented leaders and brings a unique mix of operational excellence and customer focus to her new position. Nadine’s prior track record of success in operations and internal audit will help us provide more complete solutions for our customers and enable us to expand the breadth and scale of our capabilities.”

In addition to her technical expertise, Leslie also shares the company’s commitment to corporate social responsibility. As a volunteer with Aquassistance, the humanitarian arm of SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT, the parent company of United Water, Leslie went to Haiti shortly after the devastating earthquake in 2010. Since then she has been involved in helping the government rebuild its severely damaged water infrastructure systems.

Leslie holds a B.S in Civil Engineering from the Faculte des Sciences in Haiti and completed an internship/scholarship program in urban planning at La Cambre University in Belgium. She is a member of the American Water Works Association, the International Water Association and the Technical Committee and Asset Management Program Advisory Committee of SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT and its global water research network, R+I Alliance.
