New Rochelle, NY, Sep 11, 2012, 7 pmUnited Water New Rochelle is asking customers to cease outdoor water use while the New York City Department of Environmental Protection makes emergency repairs to a valve on the Delaware Water Supply system which provides water to the service area. During that time United Water will provide customers with water from the Catskill Water Supply. “We are asking customers to conserve because we will have less water available while the NYDEP makes the repairs,” said Chris Graziano, director of operations for United Water New Rochelle. “They should not water their lawns during that time and should use household water for essential purposes only.” In addition, Graziano explained that customers may notice low water pressure until they switch back to the Delaware Water Supply. “We apologize for the inconvenience and we appreciate our customers’ cooperation during this time,” said Graziano. Repairs are expected to be completed Wednesday evening.
