United Water Files Rate Request With BPUUnited Water New Jersey officials today filed an application with the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (BPU) requesting a $10.36 a month (33 cents a day) increase in rates for a typical customer. Although the request would bring a typical monthly residential bill to $43.16, the BPU can take up to nine months to permit a complete investigation and analysis on the rate request. The increase, if approved by the BPU, would provide United Water with an additional $47 million in annual revenues.
