MANDATORY RESTRICTIONS LIFTED FOR CUSTOMERS IN BERGEN AND HUDSON
The mandatory odd/even outdoor water use restrictions imposed on United Water customers in Bergen and Hudson Counties were lifted today thanks to the heavy rainfall that blanketed the northeast part of the state earlier this week. The mandatory odd-even lawn watering restrictions were requested by United Water officials within the last two weeks.

New Jersey Board Of Public Utilities Grants Rate Relief To United Water New JerseyThe New Jersey Board of Public Utilities today approved a settlement agreement between the NJBPU staff, the Ratepayer Advocate and United Water New Jersey that will increase water rates 7.72% for residential and business customers, as well as a 4% increase in public and private fire charges. The typical residential customer will see an average increase in their water bill of $3.19 a month or about 10 cents a day. The changes in rates, effective immediately, will provide UWNJ with an additional
$13.7 million in annual revenues.
