Using Water Wisely

Every day the average American pours, flushes, and sprinkles 40 to 130 gallons of water at home. Using simple conservation measures, that amount could be reduced by 14 to 39 gallons, or 30 percent. For 7 million customers, that’s a savings of 98 to 273 million gallons. Every day.

Water is a precious, limited resource.

We encourage our customers—as well as our partners, vendors, suppliers, and employees—to use water wisely.

In partnership with leading conservation agencies, United Water promotes responsible, wise water usage. United Water also partners with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency as part of its WaterSense program.

From conservation publications to educational programs to local technologies, we are working to ensure that our great-, great-, great- grandchildren will enjoy a plentiful supply of clean water.
