    2012 Internship Farewell Release
    United Water Indianapolis will host its annual Summer Internship Farewell Luncheon, celebrating its 19th year of successfully providing high school students paid internships and scholarships. The luncheon will be held at the Indiana State Museum this Friday, August 3rd at 11:00 a.m. This event will highlight this year’s internship program, which included 15 students who were all recruited from a new partnership with the Center for Leadership Development. The presentation will also include a presentation of six scholarship awards to incoming college freshmen. Students, parents, United Water staff, and community partners will come together in celebration of this strong partnership that continues to build and grow the leaders of tomorrow.

    UNITED WATER AND INDIANAPOLIS RECEIVE NACWA AWARDS FOR ENVIRONMENTAL PERFORMANCE

    United Water and the city of Indianapolis were recently honored with two Platinum Peak Performance Awards from the National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA). The awards recognize the partnership’s contributions to environmental protection and the clean water community.

    MAYOR GREG BALLARD PRESENTS GREEN INFRASTRUCTURE AWARDS TO 2010 RECIPIENTS

    The City of Indianapolis’ Office of Sustainability and United Water have partnered to announce the 2010 recipients of the Green Infrastructure Grant Program. This year, $100,000 in funding was granted to organizations who utilized green infrastructure projects designed to improve water quality and reduce stormwater runoff.  Mayor Greg Ballard also welcomed previous Green Infrastructure awardees, as well as guests attending the presentation, with opening remarks.

    United Water Signs 10-Year Contract With East Providence To Upgrade And Operate City's Wastewater Facilities

    United Water, one of the leading providers of water and wastewater services in the nation, today announced it had reached agreement with the City of East Providence, RI, for a 10-year, design-build-operate (DBO) contract for the city’s wastewater collection and treatment facilities, which provide service to roughly two-thirds of East Providence’s 50,000 residents.

    UNITED WATER SELECTED BY INDIANAPOLIS BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS FOR WASTEWATER CONTRACT
    The Indianapolis Board of Public Works has approved the Department of Public Works recommendation that United Water operate the city’s wastewater treatment facilities for the next contract period. The recommendation must be approved by the City County Council which is expected to vote on the matter in September. + Read More

    UNITED WATER AND INDIANAPOLIS SIGN NEW CONTRACT FOR WASTEWATER SERVICES

    United Water announced today that the company has signed a new contract with the city of Indianapolis to manage the wastewater treatment facilities and sewage collection system. United Water, whose current contract ends December 31, 2007, has operated the Indianapolis facilities through a public-private partnership since 1994. The City County Council selected the firm for the new contract period following a competitive proposal process.
