Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Ed Imparato is responsible for United Water’s strategic planning program and all financial functions including accounting, treasury, corporate finance, financial planning, regulatory business and procurement. He previously served as senior vice president of finance.

Imparato joined United Water in 1987 and advanced to positions of increasing responsibility including manager of corporate accounting, director of financial planning, corporate controller, treasurer, and vice president and general manager of United Water’s regulated operations in the New York Division. Before joining United Water, Imparato worked as a financial analyst in a publishing firm.

He holds an M.B.A in finance from Iona College, and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the City University of New York (CUNY) with a B.S. in accounting. Imparato also holds an A.A.S. in computer science from CUNY.

Imparato serves as chairman of the board of directors of the National Association of Water Companies – New York chapter. He also serves on the Finance Committee of the National Association of Water Companies. He is a member of the accounting advisory committee for Bergen Community College. He is also on the board of trustees of Dominican College where he serves on both the fiscal and audit committees. In addition, Imparato is a member of the Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges.

He is a Certified Management Accountant and is a member of the Institute of Management Accountants.
