Senior Vice President and General Counsel

Robert Gerber serves as senior vice president and general counsel of United Water. In this capacity he oversees all legal activities related to the company’s regulated and non-regulated operations. This includes contract review and negotiation, acquisitions, litigation management, project development, corporate compliance and corporate secretarial. Gerber is also secretary of United Water’s board of directors and serves as the company’s ethics officer.

He has held positions of increasing responsibility since joining United Water in 1988.

A 1982 graduate of Rutgers Law School, Gerber was admitted to practice law in New Jersey and New York and has more than 20 years experience in all legal aspects of the water services industry.

He is a member of the New Jersey Bar Association, the American Corporate Counsel Association and the American Bar Association.

Gerber has a B.A. in history from Western Maryland College and a J.D. from Rutgers Camden School of Law.
