Xavier Boulat has operational and strategic responsibilities for all Suez Environment’s operations in North America (United States, Canada and Mexico). In this capacity, he provides executive oversight for all water and wastewater operations in North America.

Boulat served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of United Water (a wholly owned subsidiary of Suez Environment North America) from 2003-2006. He was responsible for financial activities, procurement, legal, strategy development and business plan implementation.

Prior to joining United Water, he worked at the parent company where he led the Suez Environment corporate audit department from 2000 - 2002. In that capacity, Boulat set up the department, supervised teams of auditors, lawyers and industrial experts, and carried out worldwide audits.

Earlier in his career, Boulat spent nine years with Deloitte, where he held positions of increasing responsibility in both their Boston and Paris offices. In his last position, as senior manager, he specialized in corporate transactions. In that capacity he directed worldwide due diligence procedures for acquisitions in the manufacturing and high-tech industries, and had extensive exposure to international business and economic issues.

Boulat also worked for public finance in French Polynesia, where he was responsible for financial analysis of state institutions and authorities.

Boulat holds a master’s degree in business economics from the University of Grenoble.
