Adopting Schools

“We have made tremendous strides working with United Water during the past decade. I am confident that this partnership will continue to deliver economic and environmental benefits. We are also looking forward to United Water’s continued participation in the Adopt-A-School program at Lew Wallace High School.”

United Water has a strong history of supporting education.
Adopt-A-School is only one of the avenues we have used to demonstrate that commitment.

By focusing on particular schools, we can provide better one-on-one mentoring for students.

Adopting a school puts our employees directly into the schools and in touch with students who can benefit from their expertise, especially in the fields of science and the environment.

Internships

In addition, the Adopt-A-School internship program puts students to work at United Water facilities where they learn the importance of good work ethics, a positive attitude, communication, adaptability, teamwork, attention to detail, and attendance—all requirements for today’s workforce. The interns also participate in resume building, college preparation, entrepreneurship, and environmental workshops.
